
Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 2.04% or 0.11 points to trade at 5.25 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 1.32% or 0.05 points to end at 3.70 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was up 0.84% or 0.02 points to 2.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 2.99% or 0.34 points to trade at 11.03 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) declined 2.40% or 0.18 points to end at 7.32 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) shed 1.66% or 0.06 points to 3.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.76% or 1.96 to $73.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.87% or 1.92 to hit $68.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.70% or 43.65 to trade at $2,613.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 106.24.
