
Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.84% or 0.12 points to trade at 13.89 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.52% or 0.21 points to end at 40.24 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 0.23% or 0.03 points to 10.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 2.73% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.28 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 2.71% or 0.27 points to end at 9.55 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 2.18% or 0.40 points to 17.73.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 54 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.79% or 1.98 to $73.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.87% or 1.92 to hit $68.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.77% or 45.55 to trade at $2,615.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.42% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 106.27.
