Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.28%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.28%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 2.81% or 305.00 points to trade at 11,155.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 2.58% or 270.00 points to end at 10,720.00 and NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) was up 2.30% or 14.00 points to 622.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which lost 3.44% or 4.80 points to trade at 133.20 in late trade. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 3.00% or 27.20 points to end at 879.60 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) shed 2.71% or 7.20 points to 258.20.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 44 and 21 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.18% or 0.12 to $68.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $72.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 12.70 to trade at $2,593.60 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.50% to 7.06, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 106.29.
