Spain shares higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.33%
Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financial Services&Real Estate and Building&Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG), which rose 2.59% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.89 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) added 2.55% or 1.65 points to end at 66.25 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) was up 2.15% or 0.71 points to 33.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX), which lost 1.92% or 1.00 points to trade at 51.00 in late trade. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 1.57% or 0.18 points to end at 10.95 and Acerinox (BME:ACX) shed 0.91% or 0.09 points to 9.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 73 and 26 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.74% or 73.90 to $2,620.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.00% or 2.11 to hit $68.27 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.68% or 1.98 to trade at $71.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 105.42.
