
Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which rose 3.11% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.37 at the close. Pirelli&C SPA (BIT:PIRC) added 2.78% or 0.14 points to end at 5.10 and Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) was up 2.20% or 1.34 points to 62.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI), which lost 6.12% or 0.73 points to trade at 11.20 in late trade. Azimut Holding SpA (BIT:AZMT) declined 5.36% or 1.27 points to end at 22.44 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) shed 4.38% or 0.26 points to 5.71.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 271 to 245 and 52 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.96% or 2.14 to $70.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.57% or 1.94 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 11.55 to trade at $2,694.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.97% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 105.02.
