Sweden shares higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.58%
Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 6.73% or 3.50 points to trade at 55.50 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.11% or 7.00 points to end at 339.40 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 2.10% or 4.60 points to 223.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which lost 22.82% or 1.31 points to trade at 4.41 in late trade. SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) declined 1.35% or 3.00 points to end at 219.10 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) shed 0.89% or 0.90 points to 100.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 444 to 322 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.58% or 1.79 to $71.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.41% or 1.76 to hit $74.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 6.25 to trade at $2,742.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 11.66, while USD/SEK fell 0.26% to 10.71.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.78.
