FTSE 100 mixed; construction PMI data watched

Investing.com – U.K. equities started mixed on Friday. The top risers were Chemicals, Personal Goods and Household Goods sectors; while Electricity, Media and Tobacco were the top fallers.
At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index moved a little. The FTSE 250 Index rose and the FTSE 350 Index were down. The FTSE 250 climbed 0.10%, while the FTSE 350 was up by 0.19%.
Top Gainers:
- Croda International PLC (LON:CRDA): Rose 1.57% or 65.0 points to 4,211.0.
- Fresnillo (LON:FRES): Increased 1.27% or 8.00 points to 637.00.
- Schroders (LON:SDR): Climbed 1.04% or 3.6 points to 350.8.

Top Losers:
- SSE (LON:SSE): Fell 1.88% or 35.50 points to 1,855.00.
- Relx (LON:REL): Dropped 1.18% or 41.85 points to 3,509.15.
- JD Sports Fashion (LON:JD): Declined 1.12% or 1.59 points to 140.86.

In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 1.20 points to 2,680.40 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for November delivery climbed 0.23 points to 73.94 a barrel.
- December Brent Oil Contract increased 0.27% or 0.21 points to 77.83 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD has stabilised itself at 1.3144.
- EUR/GBP is at 0.8391.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 101.644.

Today's economic events in the UK include Huw Pill's speech, Construction PMI data and the CFTC GBP speculative net positions.
