Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.44%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.44% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 6.67% or 5.00 points to trade at 80.00 at the close. Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) added 1.20% or 120.00 points to end at 10,120.00 and Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) was up 1.15% or 45.00 points to 3,960.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p), which lost 3.21% or 380.00 points to trade at 11,440.00 in late trade. Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) declined 2.11% or 360.00 points to end at 16,720.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) shed 0.95% or 4.00 points to 416.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.92% or 7.70 to $256.45 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 22.00 to hit $7,017.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 10.20 to trade at $2,680.10 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.05% to 4,183.11, while BRL/COP fell 1.20% to 768.74.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 101.39.
