Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.00%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.00% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which rose 3.24% or 44.50 points to trade at 1,417.00 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) added 1.97% or 15.60 points to end at 807.80 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 0.97% or 1.90 points to 197.80 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which lost 3.48% or 15.40 points to trade at 426.90 in late trade. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) declined 1.75% or 54.00 points to end at 3,032.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) shed 1.70% or 13.60 points to 784.60.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.39% or 0.27 to $70.10 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.33% or 0.24 to hit $73.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 21.80 to trade at $2,668.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.26% to 6.76, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 101.37.
