Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 1.24%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Holding Companies and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 1.24%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE:EQD), which rose 8.06% or 87.00 points to trade at 1,167.00 at the close. Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) added 5.71% or 2.00 points to end at 37.00 and AFMA SA (CSE:AFM) was up 1.98% or 23.00 points to 1,184.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Total Maroc SA (CSE:TMA), which lost 6.18% or 105.00 points to trade at 1,595.00 in late trade. Micro Data SA (CSE:MIC) declined 4.83% or 32.00 points to end at 630.00 and Akdital SA (CSE:AKT) shed 4.68% or 49.00 points to 999.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 39 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.35% or 0.94 to $70.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.25% or 0.92 to hit $74.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.88% or 23.55 to trade at $2,666.75 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.26% to 10.79, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 101.39.
