Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.09%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment&Services, Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.09%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 5.30% or 3.30 points to trade at 65.58 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) added 4.78% or 6.15 points to end at 134.80 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was up 2.66% or 0.32 points to 12.15 in late trade.

Biggest losers included TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which lost 2.77% or 2.90 points to trade at 101.90 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.33% or 12.50 points to end at 524.00 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) shed 2.10% or 22.00 points to 1,028.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 137 to 133 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.92% or 1.35 to $71.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.80% or 1.32 to hit $74.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 17.45 to trade at $2,669.95 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.19% to 11.63, while USD/NOK fell 0.42% to 10.43.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 100.32.
