Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.40%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.40%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 2.09% or 2.90 points to trade at 141.85 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.66% or 2.20 points to end at 135.00 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) was up 1.60% or 0.52 points to 32.92 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which lost 11.07% or 0.61 points to trade at 4.93 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 5.76% or 14.40 points to end at 235.60 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) shed 5.40% or 4.40 points to 77.05.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 161 to 113 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.20% or 0.14 to $71.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.32% or 0.24 to hit $74.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.95% or 24.75 to trade at $2,639.35 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.18% to 11.73, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 10.53.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 100.66.
