Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.28%
Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.28% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 5.56% or 4.50 points to trade at 85.50 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) added 2.30% or 640.00 points to end at 28,460.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was up 1.55% or 50.00 points to 3,285.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), which lost 4.49% or 480.00 points to trade at 10,200.00 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 4.34% or 460.00 points to end at 10,140.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) shed 4.21% or 1,300.00 points to 29,600.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.15 to $247.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 6.52% or 474.00 to hit $7,745.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 2.80 to trade at $2,540.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.01% to 4,269.98, while BRL/COP fell 0.42% to 753.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 101.71.
