Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.58%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.58% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which rose 4.69% or 5.30 points to trade at 118.20 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.67% or 1.60 points to end at 97.50 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 1.47% or 3.50 points to 242.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which lost 7.40% or 0.84 points to trade at 10.51 in late trade. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) declined 2.87% or 6.80 points to end at 230.30 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) shed 2.56% or 3.30 points to 125.50.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 168 to 109 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.53% or 1.06 to $68.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.51% or 1.10 to hit $71.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 1.30 to trade at $2,541.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.85, while USD/NOK rose 0.35% to 10.65.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 100.83.
