Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 0.89%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.89%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 2.08% or 4.50 points to trade at 221.10 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) added 1.84% or 0.12 points to end at 6.35 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 1.77% or 0.58 points to 33.34 in late trade.

Biggest losers included AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which lost 3.35% or 59.00 points to trade at 1,700.00 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 2.49% or 4.00 points to end at 154.70 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) shed 2.48% or 7.50 points to 293.30.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 423 to 338 and 85 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $69.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $72.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 12.45 to trade at $2,538.45 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 11.38, while USD/SEK fell 0.21% to 10.25.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.10.
