Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.42%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate, Chemicals and Food Producers&Processors sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.42%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC), which rose 7.32% or 2.78 points to trade at 40.78 at the close. Jet Contractors (CSE:JET) added 6.76% or 50.00 points to end at 790.00 and Mutandis SCA (CSE:MUT) was up 4.61% or 12.50 points to 283.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS), which lost 4.98% or 1.99 points to trade at 37.95 in late trade. Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR) declined 3.70% or 2.00 points to end at 52.00 and S2M (CSE:S2M) shed 3.19% or 7.90 points to 240.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 23 and 11 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.55% or 1.07 to $70.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 1.02 to hit $73.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 10.05 to trade at $2,536.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.81, while USD/MAD fell 0.21% to 9.73.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 101.29.
