Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.54%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.54%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 9.22% or 1,060.00 points to trade at 12,560.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) added 3.13% or 980.00 points to end at 32,280.00 and Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) was up 2.96% or 340.00 points to 11,840.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), which lost 4.47% or 500.00 points to trade at 10,680.00 in late trade. Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) declined 3.48% or 300.00 points to end at 8,320.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) shed 1.79% or 680.00 points to 37,300.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.72% or 1.75 to $242.30 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 4.69% or 360.00 to hit $7,311.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 2.80 to trade at $2,524.80 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.02% to 4,183.38, while BRL/COP rose 0.29% to 740.50.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.69.
