Investing.com -- Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is set to transition to using organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screens for all iPhone models starting in 2025, completely phasing out liquid crystal displays (LCDs), Reuters reported on Tuesday.
This shift will result in the exclusion of Japan's Sharp (OTC:SHCAY) Corp (TYO:6753) and Japan Display from Apple's supplier list, the report added.
Apple has begun ordering OLED displays for the next iPhone SE from BOE Technologyn (SZ:000725) in China and LG Display (KS:034220) in South Korea.
