Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Travel&Leisure and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.90% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which rose 5.49% or 0.69 points to trade at 13.17 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) added 2.97% or 0.82 points to end at 28.58 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) was up 2.14% or 0.82 points to 39.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.34% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.24 in late trade. Hera (BIT:HRA) declined 1.09% or 0.04 points to end at 3.45 and Inwit (BIT:INWT) shed 0.83% or 0.09 points to 10.71.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 298 to 175 and 43 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.95% or 1.45 to $75.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.46% or 1.13 to hit $78.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 16.55 to trade at $2,554.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 101.27.
