Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.36% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 4.96% or 0.19 points to trade at 3.98 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.75% or 0.99 points to end at 21.84 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 3.92% or 0.76 points to 20.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 2.66% or 0.25 points to trade at 9.16 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 1.58% or 0.14 points to end at 8.48 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 1.11% or 0.16 points to 14.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 75 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.15% or 0.89 to $78.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.61% or 1.20 to hit $75.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 18.25 to trade at $2,556.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 101.23.
