On November 3, Eastern Time, AMD (AMD) reported its third-quarter financial results for fiscal year 2026. Data center revenue nearly doubled, driving record total revenue for the group, while adjusted earnings per share beat market expectations. The company expects fourth-quarter revenue growth to accelerate further, but free cash flow for the quarter was significantly below expectations, leaving the conversion of profit growth into cash flow an area to watch.

On November 3 Eastern Time, US stocks diverged on Tuesday. A rebound in chip stocks drove the Nasdaq and S&P 500 higher, while a drop in Apple weighed on the Dow. Investors stepped back into tech stocks following recent pressure while awaiting the results of the US midterm elections.
