Ethereum ETFs Lose More Than $1 Billion During October Selloff
TL;DR: US spot Ethereum funds have recorded approximately $1.08 billion in net outflows through October 20, based on daily figures compiled by Farside Investors.
October has been a difficult month for US spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds. Daily flow figures published by Farside Investors show sustained net redemptions through the October 20 trading session, taking the month’s combined withdrawals to roughly $1.08 billion.
The latest session added a net $26.1 million of outflows, following another $103.3 million on October 19. The selling has not been perfectly uninterrupted: October 13 recorded a positive day, but it has been too small to reverse the wider trend.
ETF flows are an important window into one channel of investment demand. They reflect creations and redemptions in listed funds, not every ETH purchase, sale or staking decision occurring across the market. A net withdrawal figure is also not a direct measure of Ethereum’s network activity.
For traders, the question is whether redemptions begin to slow or continue to weigh on sentiment. A meaningful reversal would require more than a single modest inflow. For now, the fund data documents weaker appetite for listed Ethereum exposure even as developers and financial firms keep expanding the uses of the underlying network.
