President Donald Trump made 517 trades in securities in August, including Nvidia, Microsoft and AMD stock, according to an ethics disclosure published Thursday.

The same day, he gave national medals to the CEOs of all three companies.

A Meta purchase worth up to $25 million topped the form

In August, Trump bought as much as $1.6 million of Nvidia shares and sold as much as $1 million. The filing records a purchase on August 3 of between $250,001 and $500,000 and another on August 17 of between $500,001 and $1 million.

The largest August line for Microsoft is an August 10 buy of $1 million to $5 million. AMD had one move all month, a sale between $1 million and $5 million on August 21.

The largest line on the form is a Meta purchase worth $5 million to $25 million. On August 21, Netflix drew between $1 million and $5 million.

Trump also purchased between $1 million and $5 million of SpaceX senior unsecured notes due 2031 on August 18. Musk runs SpaceX.

The US president also traded shares of Tesla, Alphabet and Dell, including a Dell sale of between $500,001 and $1 million.

Trump signed the Office of Government Ethics report on September 17. The administration is debating policies that could impact Nvidia’s business, including export rules for its advanced chips.

Disclosures since January top 9,200 transactions

The ceremony in Washington on Thursday awarded the National Medal of Science to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, AMD CEO Lisa Su, Elon Musk and Google co-founder Sergey Brin. Microsoft’s Satya Nadella and Michael Dell got the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

“The entire world is running on Nvidia,” Trump said at the event.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle said that all investment decisions for the portfolio are made by independent managers. He said the accounts copy recognized indexes such as the Schwab 1000, and that there are no conflicts of interest.

The brokerage accounts are held by The Trump Organization. The trades are selected by third-party institutions and Trump or his family has no involvement, the company says.

Trump, unlike former presidents, never put his portfolio in a blind trust so he can see what his managers buy and sell, Cryptopolitan reported.

Cryptopolitan reported in July that at least 44 purchases were made across 21 companies about a week before Trump praised the firm or its products.

August was slower than previous months which often saw more than 1,000 trades. His disclosures now encompass more than 9,200 transactions from January to August.

According to Cryptopolitan, first-quarter filings alone included over 3,700 transactions valued between $220 million and $750 million. US presidents can buy and sell stocks while in office, provided they report the trades.
