Energy Vault Q2 2026 earnings: Revenue doubles as backlog reaches $2 billion

Energy Vault’s Q2 2026 revenue rose 104% year over year to $17.4 million, while GAAP gross margin expanded 140 basis points to 31.0%. Basic GAAP loss per share narrowed to $0.17 from $0.22, although adjusted EBITDA loss widened to $17.0 million as growth-related operating expenses increased. Backlog reached about $2 billion, and Energy Vault raised full-year revenue guidance to $270 million-$310 million while narrowing GAAP gross margin guidance to 20%-25%. Cash including restricted cash ended June at $148 million.
