Chegg Q2 2026 Earnings: Cost Cuts Support Cash Flow as Revenue Falls 51%

Chegg’s Q2 2026 revenue fell 51% year over year to $51.8 million, while GAAP net loss was $3.0 million. Cost reductions helped produce $9.1 million of adjusted EBITDA, a 17% margin, and $6.4 million of free cash flow despite restructuring payments. Chegg Skilling revenue rose 2% to $17.5 million but did not offset weakness elsewhere. For Q3, management guided to $43 million-$44 million of revenue, 48%-49% gross margin, and $1 million-$2 million of adjusted EBITDA as Chegg begins launching its employability platform.
