US President Trump: US Navy has cleared Strait of Hormuz mines
United States (US) President Donald Trump said the US Navy has cleared the Strait of Hormuz of mines, removing one of the supply risks that has kept the Oil market on edge. In a post on Truth Social, he said he had been informed that all mines had been removed or detonated from the waterway's international waters, and that Iran had been warned that any new mine-laying would be met with force.
Trump set out what he called a zero-tolerance policy, saying any ship or boat placing new mines would be "immediately and systematically destroyed." He added that the US is monitoring the strait through Space Force, along with Iran's Pickaxe Mountain site and three nuclear facilities he said had already been destroyed.
