  • Pump.fun launched Custom Pairs, allowing creators to pair newly launched tokens with tokenized stocks, metals and other assets.
  • The feature initially supports 93 custom asset pairs through partnerships with Sunrise and xStocksFi.
  • Pump.fun will direct 50% of Custom Pairs revenue toward its programmatic PUMP token buyback-and-burn smart contract.

Pump.fun (PUMP) announced the launch of Custom Pairs, allowing users to create tokens paired with tokenized stocks, major cryptocurrencies, metals and other assets.

Pump.fun brings tokenized stock pairs to token launches

The token generation platform stated that creators can select a custom pair when launching a token through its website or mobile app. The update expands the range of assets that can be used as quote tokens, Pump.fun announced Wednesday.

Creators can choose a Creator Fee between 0.05% and 1% or use the Cashback model, which returns trading fees to users. The platform stated that fees will be paid in the quote asset.

Coin administrators can also distribute Creator Fees among up to 10 recipients. These settings are locked after the initial configuration, although Pump.fun stated that limited changes may be possible if a token undergoes a community takeover.

“If a token is CTO’d, the fee sharing configuration will be unlocked and the new Coin Admin will be granted one update to the existing configuration before it is locked again,” the platform wrote on X.

The feature initially includes partnerships with Sunrise and xStocksFi, also referred to as xStocks. Pump.fun shared that Sunrise has added 20 asset pairs representing stocks, including Boeing (BA), Alibaba (BABA), Costco (COST), Dell (DELL), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Lockheed Martin (LMT), Pfizer (PFE), Rivian (RIVN), Shopify (SHOP) and Snap (SNAP). Other available assets include BULL, DJT, HIMS, IBM, LULU, MGM, QUBT, RBLX, RDDT and UPS.

Pump.fun will initially support 93 custom asset pairs, with additional tokenized pairs expected soon. The assets are tokenized representations of equities and other traditional assets already available on Solana.

Fees remain unchanged for bonding curves and PumpSwap

Pump.fun said Custom Pairs will use the same protocol fee structure as its standard launches on the bonding curve and PumpSwap.

The platform will direct 50% of revenue generated through Custom Pairs to its programmatic buyback-and-burn smart contract for the PUMP token.

Pump.fun's move comes as tokenized equities and other real-world assets continue to expand across Solana and other blockchain networks.

Platforms such as xStocks already offer tokenized US equities and exchange-traded funds, while Sunrise and Backpack Securities have also expanded access to tokenized financial assets on Solana.

Centralized exchanges have also increasingly opened their doors to tokenized asset trading, offering round-the-clock support for major traditional assets onchain.

PUMP is trading at $0.00412, down 5% at the time of writing despite the announcement.
