US must stick to EU-US 2025 trade deal, says Germany on US trade probe

March 12 (Reuters) - Germany has taken note of the U.S.'s unfair-trade probe, the economy ministry said on Thursday, adding it was crucial that any new tariffs would not breach an agreement between the EU and the U.S. struck in summer 2025.

The ministry said in a statement it expected the U.S. would adhere to that deal, in particular an agreed 15% tariff cap.
