US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids unchanged as futures gain strength

- Basis bids for hard red winter wheat were flat in a spot check of locations in the Southern U.S. Plains on Friday as futures firmed.

  • Dryness and winterkill may pose a threat to the U.S. winter wheat crop, which may come out of dormancy soon GRA/

  • Global wheat supplies could tighten in the 2026/27 season, the International Grains Council said on Thursday.

  • Protein premiums for wheat shipped by rail to and through Kansas City fell 3 cents for wheat with 12.2% protein. It was unchanged for all other grades of wheat. KCBT/SCA

  • K.C. March hard red winter wheat KWH26 rose 6-3/4 cents to $5.72-1/4 per bushel.
